As the story goes, she came out singing. Emily's led her own bands as well as sung with numerous original and cover bands over the years in San Francisco, Austin, New York, and Los Angeles.
Currently, she is writing and recording songs for her Americana record with bassist/producer Ted Russell Kamp. She’s also written with a long list of talents that include songwriter/guitarist Geoff Pearlman, Grammy nominated songwriter Dan Navarro, Grant Langston, Manda Mosher, Scrote, Art Hays and Will Pharoah. In 2016, she released a record with bassist/producer Tim Lefebvre called Angelenos. The pair released the album "Domestic Blitz" in 2011.
Emily has done numerous sessions for other artists like Moby, Jimmy Lavalle of The Album Leaf, Will Pharaoh, Mary Segato, Sizzlax, as well as singing for projects with NBC, WB Interactive and Blue Man Group. You can hear much of her artistic and commercial singing work in the Music page.

"When in Rome..." is Emily's motto about living in Los Angeles and New York. She's found herself in front of the camera in cities where movies and TV like to be made. Why not do it?!? Pictured is a still from the Jose Cuervo Last Days commercial which EZ also sings on. Watch the Jose Cuervo commercial here. in 2019, Emily worked on the ThirdLove 78 Sizes campaign to promote body diversity and inclusion.
Emily voiced the 2018 Overstock.com holiday and sale commercials for Black Friday and Cyber Monday. You can hear her in the holiday add here.
Emily appeared in the 2017 Super Bowl promo for Fox Sports/NASCAR "Daytona Day". Watch the Daytona Days promo here. She is the voice behind Harvoni's "Let Go" spot and she appears in the Cosentyx ad along Cyndi Lauper. Look out for her on the Cal Water conservation, Total Wines and Spirits, First Entertainment Credit Union, Kwikset Locks and more. (I add links when I find the ads :)!)
She is represented by Clayton Music Management.
Emily collaborated with Moby on music for his Destroyed album. She cowrote and sang "The Low Hum" which appeared on the record. She also sang another song "Breakdown" which came out on the Destroyed Deluxe edition.
Emily was featured prominently in the soundtrack of the Benson/Moorhead film, The Endless, whose score was created by frequent collaborator and friend Jimmy Lavalle (of The Album Leaf). Their cover of the classic “House of the Rising Sun” was used throughout the film and was the music for the closing credits. The entire soundtrack is beautiful and is available in gorgeous blue/black vinyl. You can grab your copy at Eastern Glow Recordings.
Emily has collaborated with Blue Man Group numerous times over the past 10 years including appearing as a lip syncing mouth on the Rock Tour, singing on developmental projects like Saturday Morning Puppet Club and The Ride, and most notably, performing as a Zuzu Singer with them at 2 sold-out shows at The Hollywood Bowl.
As the name would suggest, Angelenos is a Los Angeles-based electronic collective headed by bassist/producer Tim Lefebvre (Tedeschi Trucks Band, Mark Guiliana's BEAT Music, KNOWER) and singer/songwriter Emily Zuzik (Moby). Following their 2010 album, Domestic Blitz, the two re-teamed for a new sonic adventure which came out in late 2016.
Additional players include Gary Novak, Nick Littlemore (Empire of the Sun), Peter Adams, Jason Linder, David Siegel, Marc Guiliana, KNOWER and more.
Yes, Emily was once a Bond Girl for the Penguin Paperback edition of James Bond's Thunderball. While this edition is out of print, one can find it on eBay.
